Case Study: Positive MTHFR, Factor II and PAI-1

The Problem

Manuela had a two-year-old and wanted to have another baby. She had breast tenderness around her cycle and showed sensitivity to certain plant-based foods. She also tested positive for Hashimoto’s. When she became pregnant, she miscarried after about a month.

The Solution

I ran a genetic test on her that showed she was positive for MTHFR, Factor II and PAI-1, which have associations with increased blood clotting. Through supplements and with the help of other medical professionals.

The Result

Manuela was able to carry her next child to term and gave birth to a healthy baby girl. She reported a wonderful birth experience and smooth recovery following delivery.

Case Study: Estrogen Dominance

The Problem

Stephanie was a university student who had debilitating pain and cramps during her menstrual cycle. Whenever her period started, she had to give up running for several days because the level of discomfort was so severe. Over-the-counter pain killers were needed on a monthly basis just to be able to function. She presented with Estrogen Dominance that led to heavy periods and associated complications.

The Solution

I worked to balance her hormones through various supplements that supported her body’s ability to detoxify the Estrogen properly. I also recommended specific foods to help with the cramping and attenuate inflammation.

The Result

In time, the discomfort subsided and she reported her lightest cycle ever! She was even able to go running again while on her period.
